691 services are listed and 262 of them publish that they offer residential rehabilitation. 91 are privately owned companies; the rest are government, charity, not-for-profit, Aboriginal community controlled or religious organisations. These are the services we have published, not a census of the country — there is no register that would let anyone claim one.
115 services take their enquiries through us, and those are the only ones we earn from. On price the honest number is small: 60 services in the whole directory have published a figure of any kind, and 34 of those state it as a total for the stay rather than a nightly or weekly rate. We publish those and nothing else. We do not estimate a price, we do not band services by what they are likely to charge, and where a provider has published nothing this site says so rather than filling the gap.
No service in Australia publishes live bed availability, so nothing here can tell you who has a place this week. Admission-risk information — psychosis, self-harm, violence, pregnancy — is published by almost nobody, which is why every comparison ends in a list of questions for the admissions team rather than a recommendation.
None of this improves until providers claim their profiles and fill it in. The provider workspace that lets them do it is live: a service can claim its listing, correct its own record, publish a price and record availability today. What is not built is anything that reads a bed board automatically, and nothing here pretends otherwise.
