TERMS OF USE
What this is, and what it is not.
These terms apply whenever you use RehabFinder. Last updated September 2026.
If you need help right now, call 000 in an emergency, or the National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline on 1800 250 015 — free, confidential, 24 hours. Nothing on this page should delay that.
What RehabFinder is
RehabFinder is a directory of alcohol and other drug treatment services in Australia. It compiles what those services publish about themselves, alongside public records, so you can compare them and decide who to contact.
RehabFinder is not a treatment provider, a referral service, a clinic, or an agent of any service listed. We do not admit anyone, assess anyone, or arrange anyone’s care.
Nothing here is medical advice
The information on this site is general and published for comparison. It is not medical, clinical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for an assessment by a qualified person.
Whether a particular service or programme suits a particular person is a clinical judgement, and only that service can make it — after speaking with the person concerned. A listing here is not a recommendation and does not mean a service is suitable, available, or safe for you.
Accuracy, and its limits
We compile every profile from the provider’s own published material and from public records, and we check figures at the source. We do not invent details: anything a service has not published is shown as not published.
Even so, services change their programmes, prices, staff and admission criteria constantly, and some of what is here will be out of date. Price bands marked indicative are our own working, not the provider’s figure, and are never a quote. Confirm anything you intend to rely on directly with the service, in writing. How we compare services sets out the method in full.
Enquiries and contact
When you send an enquiry you are asked, separately, whether RehabFinder may contact you about it and whether we may pass your details to the service so they can contact you. We act on those two answers and nothing more. Your details are never sent to a service you did not choose, and never sold.
What a provider does after they receive your enquiry is between you and them. We do not control their contact practices and cannot guarantee they will reply, or how quickly. Privacy explains what we hold and for how long.
Accounts
Provider and professional referrer accounts are for the organisation or the individual they are issued to. Keep your credentials to yourself, tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised, and do not use an account to access information about people who are not your clients.
We may suspend an account that is used to misrepresent a service, to harvest other people’s information, or to send anything a reasonable person would call spam.
Reviews
Write about your own experience, truthfully. Do not include other people’s names or identifying details, clinical information about anyone else, or anything you would not stand behind.
We may decline to publish a review, or remove one, where it is false, abusive, identifies another person, or was not written by someone who used the service. We do not remove a review simply because a provider dislikes it. Providers may reply to any review on their profile.
Provider listings
Services are listed whether or not they pay us anything, and publicly funded services never pay. Claiming a profile is a paid service for private providers; it lets a provider correct their information, publish a price, receive enquiries here and reply to reviews. It does not affect where a service appears in results.
A provider who claims a profile is responsible for what they publish on it and warrants that they are authorised to act for the service. We may correct or remove published information that we cannot verify at the source.
Liability
We provide this directory with reasonable care but without any warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, RehabFinder is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published here, from any dealing with a service you found here, or from any treatment you receive.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
