Bega Garnbirringu Health Service is an Aboriginal community controlled health organisation in Kalgoorlie. Its clinic at 16-18 MacDonald Street runs Aboriginal health checks, dental, diabetes, renal, ENT, eye, obstetric, physiotherapy and podiatry clinics and a mobile clinic. The same address houses a 19-bed Sobering Up Centre, open 5pm to 8am on weekdays, giving intoxicated people supervised overnight care with showers, laundry and meals. The centre is non-medical and refers people on to treatment services.
