THE SERVICE
A Carnarvon community organisation running several programs for the Gascoyne region, of which one is alcohol and drug related: a Sobering Up Centre open Wednesday to Saturday from 4pm to 2am where intoxicated adults can sleep, shower, eat and be referred on, diverting them from the police lockup. Its other programs cover domestic violence outreach, a women's refuge, counselling, financial counselling and tenancy support.

Hope Springs is a long-term residential therapeutic community run by Hope Community Services on more than 56 acres near Walkaway, about 40km from Geraldton. It houses up to 22 adults of any gender affected by drug and alcohol dependency.
Turner River Rehabilitation Centre is a 24-bed residential therapeutic community at Boodarie, south of South Hedland in the Pilbara, run by the charity Yaandina Community Services Limited. It takes people who have already completed a withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs.
