About Carnarvon Sobering Up Centre (Carnarvon Family Support Service)
A Carnarvon community organisation running several programs for the Gascoyne region, of which one is alcohol and drug related: a Sobering Up Centre open Wednesday to Saturday from 4pm to 2am where intoxicated adults can sleep, shower, eat and be referred on, diverting them from the police lockup. Its other programs cover domestic violence outreach, a women's refuge, counselling, financial counselling and tenancy support.
