This is the Central West Hospital and Health Service alcohol and other drugs service, run as an outreach service based out of Longreach Hospital. It supports people whose drinking, drug use or use of prescription and pharmacy medicines is causing problems, with a stated focus on harm minimisation, withdrawal and rehabilitation. Appointments can be held by telehealth. Contact is through Central West Community Mental Health Service, no GP referral is needed, and the service is free to Medicare card holders.
