About Turning Point
Turning Point is Eastern Health's addiction treatment, education and research centre, formed in 1994 and amalgamated with Eastern Health in 2009. It runs specialist addiction medicine, pharmacotherapy, psychiatry and neuropsychology clinics at Richmond and Box Hill, alcohol and drug counselling, Aboriginal AOD support, care and recovery coordination and group programs. Inpatient withdrawal is provided at Box Hill Hospital through 1 East, eight beds for up to seven days, and Wellington House, twelve beds for up to four weeks. Services are free.
