Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service is an Aboriginal community controlled health organisation. Its alcohol and other drug work sits in the Wellness Centre at 27 Wee Waa Street, where the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team gives goal-focused counselling to people wanting to reduce or stop alcohol, tobacco or other drug use, plus harm reduction options, counselling for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, and help connecting to other services. Free, ages 15 and over, with outreach to Brewarrina and Collarenebri.
