THE SERVICE
Binbi Yadubay is a Lives Lived Well residential alcohol and other drug service at Parkhurst, north of Rockhampton, funded by Queensland Health and opened in December 2021. It has 42 places: 32 residential rehabilitation, eight withdrawal and two family units for parents with children under ten. The rehabilitation program runs in six-week cycles extendable to three months, with an on-site nurse and consulting GP.
A person can detox where they will be treated. Confirm medical cover, timing and whether it costs extra.

Gumbi-Gumbi is an Aboriginal community-controlled corporation in Rockhampton running residential withdrawal, a residential rehabilitation program and non-residential rehabilitation for people affected by alcohol, other drugs and volatile substances.
Wide Bay Recovery at Thabeban, Bundaberg opened in March 2025 and is run by Lives Lived Well under contract to the Queensland Department of Health. It offers up to 28 places for people aged 18 and over: 20 live-in places for a six-week residential rehabilitation program and eight places for withdrawal management.
