Moogji Aboriginal Council East Gippsland runs a free, non-residential Alcohol and Other Drug Support Program from its Orbost clinic, serving Far East Gippsland from Nowa Nowa to Genoa. Workers deliver Care and Recovery Support by outreach, in office or by phone and video, covering health education, harm reduction, techniques to reduce use, relapse prevention, family support and cultural support, plus referral to residential rehabilitation, detox, legal and financial services. The program is open to non-Aboriginal community members.

Lake Tyers Health and Children's Services is an Aboriginal community controlled health organisation at the Lake Tyers Aboriginal Trust in East Gippsland, Victoria. It delivers comprehensive primary health care free of charge, including general practice, maternal and child health, aged care and family violence support.
A free walk-in youth health centre in central Bairnsdale for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people aged 12 to 25 across East Gippsland, run by Relationships Australia Victoria as lead agency.
GEGAC is an Aboriginal community controlled co-operative in Bairnsdale whose Tanderra service supports people with alcohol, drug, mental health and gambling concerns. The program provides assessment, counselling, health promotion, client education, referral and community linkages on a harm minimisation basis.
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service operates an inpatient withdrawal bed program at its Day Street hospital campus for people in the Gippsland catchment who are dependent on alcohol or other drugs and likely to experience withdrawal symptoms. The service is free and funded by the Victorian Government.
