Namatjira Haven at Alstonville in northern NSW runs the Gulgihwen residential program for Aboriginal men aged 18 and over with alcohol and other drug dependence, with very limited places for non-Aboriginal men. There is no set length of stay; a minimum of eight weeks is recommended and the average is around twelve. The culturally focused program includes a weekly fire circle, a visiting GP and Sunday family visits.

A three-month residential program at The Buttery's Binna Burra site for NSW residents aged 18 and over who are on an opioid substitute maintenance program and want to move to abstinence. Participants must already be in treatment under medical supervision.
A residential therapeutic community at Binna Burra in the Byron Bay hinterland for NSW residents aged 18 and over with alcohol or other drug problems. The program runs in three stages totalling 30 weeks: 12 weeks on stabilisation, 12 weeks on underlying relapse issues, then 6 weeks on community reintegration.
