About Nepean Blue Mountains Drug and Alcohol Service
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District runs a free public drug and alcohol service across Penrith, St Marys, Katoomba, Springwood and Lithgow. It operates a 15-bed short-stay inpatient withdrawal unit at Nepean Hospital for people over 16, including pregnant women, daily opioid treatment clinics at three sites, a walk-in clinic, counselling, psychology, a 10-week relapse prevention program, youth and pregnancy services, hepatitis treatment and court diversion through MERIT and the Drug Court.
