About Njernda Aboriginal Corporation - Alcohol & Other Drugs Support
Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in Echuca, Victoria, serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on Wollithiga and Yorta Yorta country. Its Alcohol and Other Drugs Support programme, based at the Youth and Wellbeing site on McMillan Road, offers confidential counselling for alcohol and drug use, referral into external detox and residential rehabilitation, help with paperwork and mental health care plans, and dual diagnosis care of intensive one-on-one support and harm minimisation. Male and female AOD workers are available, and referrals are accepted from self, GPs, support workers and courts.
