THE SERVICE
The public alcohol and other drug service of North West Hospital and Health Service, based at Isa House in Mount Isa and serving north west Queensland. It is a non-residential service providing assessment and triage, ambulatory alcohol withdrawal management, brief intervention and counselling, an opiate treatment program, a needle and syringe program, group education and support for family members. Self-referral is accepted and no GP referral is required.

headspace Mount Isa is a free non-residential centre for young people aged 12 to 25, operated as lead agency by Gidgee Healing, the Mount Isa Aboriginal community controlled health service, at 1/2 West Street, Mount Isa.
A Lives Lived Well community office at 19 Duck Street, Longreach, providing free alcohol and drug counselling and mental health psychosocial support across the Central West, with outreach to Winton, Blackall, Barcaldine and Boulia.
