About We Help Ourselves (WHOS)
WHOS is a charity founded in 1972 by former consumers and became Australia's first therapeutic community for substance dependence in 1974. It runs residential therapeutic communities, opioid stabilisation and reduction programs, day programs and supported accommodation across Sydney, the Hunter, Goulburn and the Queensland Sunshine Coast. Programs run up to seven months in three stages, admit adults 18 and over including people on opioid substitution treatment, and accept Drug Court, MERIT and self referrals.
