Damascus Health Services is a 44-bed drug and alcohol unit inside Brisbane Private Hospital, treating adults with problems related to alcohol and prescribed or over-the-counter medication. Patients begin with a 5-7 day supervised medical withdrawal under psychiatrists, then a 14-day Foundation program of psychoeducation and skills groups using CBT, ACT, coping skills training and relapse prevention, with an optional 14-day Extension. Day patient follow-up runs Monday to Saturday, alongside family sessions and a DVA program.
