About IMH Deakin Private Hospital
A 52-bed private psychiatric hospital that opened in Deakin, Canberra in 2023, operated by iMH, a joint venture between Aurora Healthcare and Medibank. It admits adults on GP or psychiatrist referral for inpatient stays of usually one to four weeks, and also runs day programs, outpatient psychiatry and hospital-in-the-home care. Addiction is treated through Addictions First Steps, an eight-week weekly abstinence-based day program, and an inpatient Addictive Behaviour group. A 12-bed unit serves veterans and first responders.
