About Karralika Therapeutic Community Adult Program
A residential therapeutic community in Fadden, Canberra, for adults with alcohol and other drug dependence, run by Karralika Programs Incorporated. Residents move through an eight-week Karuna short stay, two treatment stages and a commitment and re-entry stage, up to twelve months in total. The program uses group and individual therapy, motivational interviewing and cognitive behaviour therapy alongside education, parenting and work skills. Detoxification is required before entry. Parents may have children up to twelve living with them.
