About Riverlands Drug and Alcohol Centre
Riverlands Drug and Alcohol Centre is Northern NSW Local Health District's inpatient withdrawal unit, in Crawford House on the Lismore Base Hospital campus. It provides supervised medicated withdrawal for substance dependent people aged 18 and over, admitted voluntarily after assessment by the Riverlands Central Intake team, with an average stay of five to seven days. Nurses are on site around the clock and medical officers on site in business hours and on call otherwise. Education groups, discharge planning and onward referral are included.
