About Next Step Inpatient Withdrawal Unit
Next Step's inpatient withdrawal unit at East Perth is a 17-bed state government service providing medically supervised withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, amphetamines and other drugs for people aged 18 and over. Four beds form a dedicated Aboriginal withdrawal unit. Admission is by referral and generally runs seven days, with a daily therapeutic and education group program. No visitors are permitted and all services are free.
