It runs a sobering up service offering brief shelter and referral for a 12-hour stay, a seven-bed low-medical withdrawal service with an average stay of seven to 14 days, and about three weeks of residential assessment before transfer to the Harry Hunter Rehabilitation Centre at Gosnells. Non-residential counselling, family therapy, outreach and continuing care are also delivered from Highgate.
