THE SERVICE
The only alcohol and other drug service SA Health publishes at the Royal Adelaide Hospital is the DASSA Hospital Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison Service, a specialist medical and nursing team that advises treating clinicians on alcohol and other drug problems in patients already admitted to the hospital. SA Health states it is available only for hospital patients and does not take community referrals. It runs at three hospitals: the RAH, Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin.
