About YSAS Geelong Residential Withdrawal
YSAS runs a residential withdrawal unit at Geelong for young people aged 12 to 25 withdrawing from alcohol and other drugs, for stays of up to 14 days. Each young person has a private bedroom and access to a house gym, basketball court and recreation activities. Youth alcohol and drug workers staff the unit 24 hours a day and YSAS doctors and nurses provide medical care, starting with a health assessment on arrival. The service is free, confidential and voluntary.
