About Banyan House
Banyan House is an 18-place residential therapeutic community at Berrimah in the Northern Territory, run by the Forster Foundation for Drug Rehabilitation, which has operated since 1978. Adults recovering from alcohol and drug addiction move through orientation and three phases, with an average stay of four to six months. Services include group therapies, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, case management, living and work skills, fitness and aftercare. Residents contribute 80 per cent of their gross Centrelink payment.
