About Mission Australia - Djindigal (Mareeba) AOD Service
Mission Australia's alcohol and other drug service in Queensland, a ten-bed therapeutic residential rehabilitation centre on the Kennedy Highway at Mareeba, inland from Cairns. It takes adults aged 18 and over from Cairns, the Tablelands and Far North Queensland. The program runs in three phases - pre-residential, residential recovery and community recovery - over about twelve weeks, and supports goals ranging from reduced use to abstinence. A separate aftercare service continues case management afterwards.
