About Southern NSW Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs Service
The public alcohol and other drug service of Southern NSW Local Health District, reached on a single intake line answered around the clock. Counsellors work from community health centres across the district, and the service offers early intervention, outpatient withdrawal management, hospital consultations, specialist medical consultation and an opioid treatment program with dosing through private pharmacies. MERIT, a three month voluntary court diversion program for adults, runs at eight towns including Queanbeyan, Cooma, Goulburn and Bega.
