About St Vincent's Hospital Sydney Alcohol and Drug Service
The public alcohol and drug service of St Vincent's Hospital Sydney, Darlinghurst. All services are free. It comprises the Gorman Unit, a medically supervised short-stay unit giving five to seven days of voluntary inpatient withdrawal management; Rankin Court, which starts and dispenses methadone and buprenorphine-naloxone daily and runs hepatitis C and dental clinics and a needle and syringe program; a stimulant service with counselling, drop-in and the S-Check medical check-up clinic; and the Burton Street Centre for 16 to 21 year olds.
