THE SERVICE
WACHS is an Aboriginal community controlled health organisation running primary health care and specialist programs from Wellington, Dubbo, Moree, Penrith and Western Sydney. Its alcohol and drug support sits inside the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team at 30 Warne Street, Wellington, where a dedicated Drug and Alcohol Worker provides support, advocacy and referral to external counsellors, withdrawal units and residential rehabilitation. The team also covers trauma, family violence, sexual assault and family health. Referrals are accepted from anyone.
