About headspace Maitland
A fee-free centre for young people aged 12 to 25 in Maitland and the Hunter, operated by the Samaritans Foundation as lead agency under the headspace model. It provides counselling from psychologists, counsellors and social workers, alcohol and drug support, bulk-billed GP and sexual health services, work and study help, telehealth appointments and a brief digital therapy for binge eating. Intake is by phone; clinical sessions need a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan.
