About Mount Isa Recovery Services Centre
A 25-bed Salvation Army residential rehabilitation service on Kalkadoon land at Spear Creek on the Barkly Highway outside Mount Isa, serving mainly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults over 18 and families with dependent children. The program combines group work, case management and weekly one-to-one case worker sessions built around an individual goal plan, with nutrition and exercise programming, men's and women's groups, and cultural activities on site and externally. Children of participants can be accommodated.
