The Normanton Recovery and Community Wellbeing Service is a residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation service in Normanton, in Queensland's Lower Gulf, run by the Aboriginal community controlled health service Gidgee Healing. It is described as non-clinical residential rehabilitation for adults aged 18 and over, built around personal, social and family wellbeing, connection to culture and community, healthy lifestyle, and education and employment. It does not take people who need detoxification or who are on opioid substitution therapy. Post-exit outreach of up to three contacts a week may be offered.

A 25-bed Salvation Army residential rehabilitation service on Kalkadoon land at Spear Creek on the Barkly Highway outside Mount Isa, serving mainly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults over 18 and families with dependent children.
Shanty Creek is a live-in therapeutic community near Mareeba in Far North Queensland run by Lives Lived Well, taking up to 30 residents aged 18 and over. It prioritises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and also accepts others.
Mission Australia's alcohol and other drug service in Queensland, a ten-bed therapeutic residential rehabilitation centre on the Kennedy Highway at Mareeba, inland from Cairns. It takes adults aged 18 and over from Cairns, the Tablelands and Far North Queensland.
A purpose-built 10-bed youth residential rehabilitation centre at Edmonton, south of Cairns, which opened in October 2025. It takes young people aged 13 to 18, with priority for 16 and 17 year olds, from the Cairns and Hinterland and Torres and Cape regions. Stays run from six weeks to six months and are voluntary.
