About St John of God Burwood Hospital
A 95-bed private psychiatric hospital in Burwood, operated by St John of God Health Care and open since 1957. It admits adults as inpatients, day patients and outpatients for depression, anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders, perinatal mental health and drug and alcohol misuse, and runs a Mother and Baby Unit. Group day programs, including an ongoing weekly alcohol and other drugs relapse-prevention group, run from the Counselling and Therapy Centre at 420 Parramatta Road. ECT and TMS are provided.
